Exhibition "40 Years Later"

Photo exhibition of the summers of Estonian students’ brigade in the Hiiu Kalur group in the 1970s.

Ilmar Kruusamäe is a painter, a member of the Estonian Artists' Association (1988) and founder member of Kursi School. Kruusamäe is known primarily as a practitioner of photorealism and is one of the only photographers in Tartu who has stuck to the technics of hyperrealism. The artist's favorite genre is portraiture. His large-scale works are at the heart of almost every survey exhibition.

Ilmar Kruusamäe is from Tartu. In 1980, he graduated as an economist from the University of Tartu in finance and credit. Kruusamäe is a self-taught artist who works since 1976 at the University of Tartu Art Cabinet and since 1980 is a freelance artist.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on August 10 at 13.00.
