Street Art Festival "Stencibility"

"Stencibility" is an annual street art festival that began in 2010 in Tartu, and now it simultaneously takes place in other cities as well.

The name of the festival is a reference to the stencil technique. The festival is about introducing, promoting and creating new street art. Guided tours and street art maps are available.

"Stencibility" is a street art festival in its most authentic quintessential definition. We believe in free independent street art and do everything to support its existence. The festival unites artists and people who support this cause.

This year we'll open the former diner Kaseke as a place to draw for everyone at any time during the festival. We will bring the artwork of 150 artists to Tartu - there will be a truck-gallery for stickers sent to us by all those artists.

It's important to us that the artwork on the streets suits the place and works with the environment. That's why we have invited artist Igor Ponosov (RU) to put up installations specifically fitting to Tartu.

Doctorate Javier Abarca, who is an artist, researcher, and educator in the fields of graffiti and street art, will talk to us about his discoveries in a lecture and city tour, where he teaches how to experience the city as a street artist and graffiti writer.

Participating artists:
Igor Ponosov (RU), Javier Abarca (ES), K2rte (EST), Silex Project (FRA), Tron Karton (LV), Rombo Kaos (LV), Jukka Peltosaari (FIN), Karina Donis (GER), Minttu Pyykkönen (FIN), Slava Ptrk (RU), Guts Draws (EST), Kajar Kattai (EST), Liisa Kruusmägi (EST), Sänk (EST)
